Protect Your Bike and Custom Equipment
When you’re cruising the open road or traveling cross country, the last thing you want to worry about is your motorcycle insurance- and we want to keep it that way. Ride easier knowing your bike is covered by an affordable policy. We at Anchor Insurance Agency, Inc. will work closely with you to make sure you get the coverage you need.
Full Replacement Cost and No Depreciation for Parts
We will always return your bike to pre-accident condition or better. Let’s say that your five-year old front tire with 10,000 miles on it gets damaged. Based on the tread remaining, its depreciated value is $50, but you need a new one that costs $150. We pay the full $150 and not the depreciated value. That’s a real $100 difference.
Coverage for Gear and Personal Belongings
You can add coverage for just about all of the personal property you carry on your motorcycle if it’s damaged or stolen. This includes camping gear, safety gear and even your phones
Total Loss Coverage for a Brand New Bike
Available if your bike is no more than one model year old on a new policy, and two model years old during a renewal of a TLC policy. If it’s totaled, we’ll give you the full MSRP for a brand new motorcycle, minus your deductible
Motorcycle Insurance Coverages
Excursion Diversion
When you ride your bike more than 100 miles from your home, you may not be fully covered by your standard insurance policy. Excursion Diversion coverage applies if you have a motorcycle accident and you are far from home. This coverage may pay for eligible expenses such as food, lodging, lost deposits, transportation, and towing costs. There may also be additional coverage provided for damaged safety apparel.
Roadside Assistance
If your motorcycle has a mechanical or electrical breakdown, you may need help. Roadside Assistance coverage provides a toll-free, 24-hour towing and roadside service for situations such as:
Not enough fuel
Not enough fluid
Battery failure
Flat tire
Not enough oil
Not enough water
Lock-out (lost key)
Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury
Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury coverage can help pay for bodily injury you suffer in an accident caused by the owner or operator of an uninsured motor vehicle.
Comprehensive
Comprehensive coverage can protect your motorcycle from costly damages due to accidents.
Optional/Special Equipment
Protect the time and money you put into your bike when you modify it. Optional/Special Equipment coverage can help protect your investment against damage to or loss of permanent equipment on your bike that is not considered factory standard. Your bike’s manufacturer defines equipment as standard by the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Necessary coverage is determined by taking the difference between the values of the optional equipment and the equipment that it replaces.
Guest Passenger
May provide coverage for bodily injuries sustained by a passenger on your bike.
Personal Injury Protection
Provides coverage for medical expenses, up to a specified limit, for the insured or any other eligible person as the result of an accident, regardless of who was at fault in the accident. It usually provides coverage for non-medical expenses, such as wage loss and death benefits. Coverage availability is limited in some states.
Uninsured Motorist Property Damage
This coverage provides protection to your insured motorcycle when it is damaged as a result of an accident where an uninsured driver is at fault.
Underinsured Motorist Property Damage
Provides coverage up to your policy limits for damage to your motorcycle over and above the limit of the at-fault driver who does not carry enough insurance to cover the damage.
Rental Reimbursement
If your bike is your only mode of transportation and goes to the shop for repairs, it would be very inconvenient. Rental Reimbursement coverage may pay for eligible transportation expenses in these cases.
Physical Damage Plus
You may have greater peace of mind when your bike is being repaired when you have Physical Damage Plus coverage. You’ll be certain that only genuine original replacement parts from your bike’s manufacturer are used, when available.
Medical Expense
Riding a motorcycle can expose you to additional risks on the road. If you are in an accident, medical expense coverage can help both you and your passenger with medical expenses.
Collision
If your bike collides with an object or flips or tips over, your liability only insurance policy may not cover all expenses. Collision coverage can provide that extra coverage.
Bodily Injury
When an accident you cause results in the injury or death of others, Bodily Injury coverage may help to protect you. This coverage can pay for expenses such as: •Lost wages
•Pain
•Medical expenses
•Suffering
•Death
Property Damage
If you cause an accident that causes damage to another person’s property, this coverage can help to protect you. It does not cover any damages to your property.
